Ecumenical Leaders Issue Urgent Call for Just Peace in Syria

A group of ecumenical leaders at a meeting of the World Council of Churches have called for an immediate truce in Syria. The Church leaders and representatives from Syria, the Middle East Council of Churches, the World Council of Churches and the Holy See made the appeal after meeting at the WCC headquarters in Geneva Jan. 15-17.
