Prayers for Rain Stepped Up as Record Drought Continues

On Nov. 30, the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, Fouad Twal, sent a message to all parish priests in the patriarchate, asking them and their parishioners to pray for rain. Many religious leaders are coming together across the Holy Land to pray for rain as the region continues to suffer from a record drought, with no significant rainfall since spring.
