Jordanian mosaics and Iraqi refugees

The map of Madaba is one of the best-known images of the Byzantine Holy Land, but it has also become the symbol of a city that boasts one of the oldest mosaic schools in the Middle East: an ancient tradition, revived to give dignity and hope to those who, in recent years, have taken refuge in Jordan fleeing the war.
