Syrian Refugee Crisis in Jordan Expected to Worsen in 2013

As Syrian refugees continue to pour over the border into Jordan and surrounding countries, fears are growing that a “mass exodus” may occur if the conflict spreads to more densely populated areas in and around Damascus. Conditions for the refugees, already bad, are deteriorating. The number of registered Syrian refugees that have fled to Jordan since the beginning of the conflict is fast approaching 300,000.
