Election of Pope Tawodros II Warmly Welcomed By Egyptian Catholic Church

Pope Tawodros II of Alexandria, the newly elected Patriarch of the Coptic Orthodox Church, has sound relations with the Catholic Church and is a “good choice”, a spokesman for the Catholic Church in Egypt has said. Fr. Rafic Greiche, director of the press office of the Catholic Church in Egypt, told that the 60 year-old former auxiliary bishop of El Beheira appears “very open, very nice”.
